There are many fishing lakes in and around the area, I have listed the 3 nearest to Les Fougeres…… Etang de la Vallee in St Pierre de Plesguen, Etang des Quintaines in St Helen and Etang de Betineuc in St Andre des Eaux. You must buy a fishing licence before you start fishing, these can be purchased at the local Mairie (Town Hall) or local bars/tobacs.
ETANG DE LA VALLEE – St Pierre de Plesguen (5 minutes by car)
It offers a beautiful walk around the lakes, a picnic areas, a fitness trail and a playground for children aged 2 to 12. The Ouessant sheep, who help maintain the site, will appreciate a short visit… If you want to fish, you will need a day or yearly licence card which can be purchased locally at the Indian’s Bar or at the Carrefour Contact supermarket, rue de la Liberation in Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen, Prices from 10€ per day
ETANG DES QUINTAINES – St Helen (5 minutes by car)

ETANG DE BETINEUC – St Andre des Eaux (15 minutes by car)
Situated just past the village of Evran this is a very large fishing lake and leisure area. This site covers 20 hectares and is also accessible to people with disabilities thanks to the layout of pontoons. Fish species include: Roach, Tench, Carp, Perch and Pike.
